Substitute Nurse (RN or LPN)
Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities
Called as Needed
Normal shift within hours of 8:30AM - 3:30PM, M-F
Pay Rate $21.00-$24.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1.Administer medication and treatments including deciding the extent of
medical treatment needed and carrying out of treatment.
2.Provide health care for all students in case of illness or injury.
3.Maintain all health supplies and check all medical equipment.
May be assigned to attend field trips as needed.
4.Maintain health records for all students.
REQUIREMENTS
1.Hold appropriate license as required.
2.Hold and maintain current certification in BLS
3.Possess or acquire knowledge of:
a) Universal precautions for infectious disease.
b) MCBDD policies and procedures.
c) Recognition and reporting of abuse and neglect.
d) Recognition and management of communicable diseases.
e) Bill of Rights.
f) Proper lifting techniques
g) Fire suppression.
4. Holds and maintain training in current board required assault prevention
and intervention technique.
5.Ability to maintain accurate records.
6.Ability to maintain confidentiality of information/records.
7.Maintain valid driver's license in state of residence.
8.BCI background clearance.
9.Ability to maintain good attendance and punctuality.
10.Any other training as required by the Ohio DODD
or county board policy.
